Gulshan Club is considered as the milestone of gentry in Bangladesh. The club was founded in the year 1978. In its early days a few prominent residents of Gulshan (most posh residential area in Dhaka city), with a collective passion to create a home for leisure, sports and developing fellowship had got together at each other’s houses and with huge effort managed to acquire a plot from the local authorities which was named the Gulshan Club. Gulshan club in Bangladesh is well known for its aristocracy and lineage.

It all started with a thatched house which acted as the office, and then the squash court was constructed followed by the tennis complex and so on and so forth leading today to a complex of nearly four and a half bighas, the biggest in Gulshan. Most of the members of Gulshan Club are residents of Gulshan, Baridhara and Banani. The Club is on the verge of implementing a comprehensive master plan which it boasts will be the best in South Asia.
Since its beginning, the Gulshan Club has been the home away from home for the most illustrious names in Bangladesh. The membership roll comprises of top social elites including Business leaders, Bureaucrats, Bankers, Journalist, Academician, Artist, Celebrities and National Awardees.
